Why the deals page matters

As one of Sky’s most visited pages, the Deals page plays a key role in driving TV and broadband sales, particularly during peak periods like Black Friday. Even small performance improvements can significantly impact sales, proving the value of continual optimisation.

From simple filters to a full redesign

Initially focused on adding filtering options, this project expanded into a full-scale overhaul. We addressed critical issues like fragmented navigation, limited SEO visibility, and inconsistent branding, transforming the page into a more user-friendly platform.

Redesign Goals

We aimed to consolidate all deals onto one easy-to-navigate page, improving search rankings and user engagement. Key features included clearer groupings, top filters, and consistent brand messaging to build trust and drive conversions.

Final enhancements

We opted for a design with a prominent hero section to showcase new releases, followed by a horizontally scrolling carousel for deal cards. An anchored master tab and filtering options improved navigation, keeping everything on a single page. Although deal cards remained unchanged, the redesign increased conversions by 10%.

Redesign goals

We aimed to consolidate all deals onto one easy-to-navigate page, improving search rankings and user engagement. Key features included clearer groupings, top filters, and consistent brand messaging to build trust and drive conversions.

The project began by organising products into categories like TV channels and Sky Glass screen sizes, aiming for easier navigation. User feedback played a crucial role in shaping the initial design.

Originally intended as a simple filter addition, this project began by categorising user options like TV , screen sizes for Sky Glass, and combined TV & Broadband packages, to better organise product offers.

This stage of the project integrated user testing feedback into the design process. Positive comments highlighted ease of navigation, while constructive feedback guided further iterations, ensuring the design addressed user pain points effectively.

In the third iteration, we refined the layout based on user testing. Improvements focused on usability, filtering options, and information clarity, resulting in a more intuitive browsing experience.

Before and After: The page evolved from a cluttered, segmented layout to a streamlined, user-friendly experience, centralising all deals in one easy-to-use platform.
